So I am excited to announce that barring any crazy breaking news between now and Friday (and in the media world, ANYTHING is possible), my Dateline episode will be airing this Friday night! I know here in the Philadelphia media market, it’s NBC10. Everyone at Dateline from the producers, crew and staff have been nothing short of amazing to me, my family and friends. Th that they can eir professionalism and dedication to my story in getting it to how I want it to be portrayed, showing it to minimize victim bashing (yes, it really does happen) and to help me spread the word, help find and assist other victims out there has been phenomenal. I have never minded rearranging my schedule to accomodate theirs or traveling wherever we needed to go. They are amazed at my story and believe that this is going to be an amazing show and I am amazed at what it really takes to put a show like Dateline together and now fast this can be pulled together. Editing will go on until the last minute as I’m still getting them things that they may want to piece into the episode. I am back to work tomorrow, but I imagine their job is kind of like mine: organized chaos. I have faith that they will do amazing in getting 20 hours of footage crammed down to 42 minutes. 🙂 I don’t know what is going to happen from this point, what kind of feedback there will be (as I’m sure there will be both positive and negative) or what kind of exposure will come from it. I am just so appreciative of all that anyone has ever done throughout this whole process and I cannot thank them enough. Ever. I will be live tweeting throughout the broadcast @Mischele2k2
So I have decided that now is the time to start focus on writing and gaining support for a rape/sex by fraud/deception law and getting back to my book since the kidlets will be starting school in 2 weeks. I can’t believe my baby will be starting kindergarten!
Here is my current view:
Until next time!
